“I have always thought that if you are smart, you will succeed in life. With an IQ of 148 and MENSA membership, I am arguably smarter than most people. I was very ambitious in climbing the corporate ladder after graduating from university. However, the higher I climbed, the more unfulfilled I became. Eventually, things turned south and I was asked to leave my last job.
The most valuable lesson I learned from my 15 years in the corporate world is that IQ can only bring us so far. Without emotional intelligence (EQ), we will not be able to overcome obstacles, criticism and self-doubt, which will eventually lead to our downfall.
After leaving the corporate world, I went soul searching. It took me a few months to discover my life purpose, which is to empower our next generation to reach their true potential in life.
I got myself trained as a life coach for teenagers, and am proud to be the first Malaysian certified by Academic Life Coaching in the USA.
I founded HeadSmart to provide real-life education to teenagers in Malaysia.
We are here to help teenage students to understand and express their Emotional Intelligence (EQ). These skills are rarely, if ever, taught in schools, and are integral in the development of interpersonal and leadership skills that so many modern teenagers lack.”
